Microsoft’s Michelle Niethammer spends her days figuring out how to transform the way you work. She’s the general manager on Microsoft’s Partner Device and Solutions team, helping to design and build devices on the Windows platform.
“What I love about my job is I get to work with our hardware partners to design and build new solutions – things the customer hasn’t seen before,” she said in an interview with CRNtv.
The Acer TravelMate Spin 8 is one of those devices. The device has been purpose-built for education and features state-of-the-art security measures.
“One of the scenarios we are working on is the ability to log on using a FIDO2 certified smart card,” she said. “If you think about years ago, you needed a username and password. I don’t need that anymore.”
Niethammer also discussed the innovation behind the always-connected PCs. For more of her interview, watch CRNtv’s video.
