Cisco Systems' application performance monitoring software arm AppDynamics is making a push toward the midmarket with a new program designed for regional solution providers and loaded with big margins and white-glove benefits.
Ghazal Asif (pictured), AppDynamics vice president of worldwide channels, says the new program element is a recognition of the accelerating pace at which businesses outside the largest financial services and retail enterprises are adopting application performance monitoring as they dig deeper into digital transformation initiatives.
Partners that have the drive to forge relationships with somewhat smaller companies hungry to gain control over the data they produce will find the Pioneer program supportive and profitable, Asif said, with healthy double-digit margins and all the sales and engineering support a solution provider could ask for.
"There are many smaller, regional partners that have deep expertise in cloud that really understand applications and that are selling very complementary technologies," Asif said. "Many of them have very strategic relationships with their customers. Some of them are much smaller in size, but have very strong, strategic relationships with their customers. We're expanding and getting those up-and-coming partners an opportunity to really grow their business with AppDynamics."
Here are the five most important aspects of the new program.
