Accenture Acquires Two Development Firms
Accenture unveiled two deals to bolster its Industry X.0 digital transformation initiative.
The global systems integrator will buy Mindtribe, a San Francisco-based hardware engineering company that counts among its customers such industry giants as Apple, Google, Tesla, Lyft, Adobe, Ferrari and NASA.
Mindtribe brings Accenture a team of 40 employees experienced in agile hardware development techniques that shorten development cycles for its clients.
Accenture also entered an agreement to acquire Pillar Technology, a Columbus, Ohio-based company that develops embedded software for smart systems such as autonomous vehicles.
Pillar Technology has 320 employees and four offices across the U.S.
