30 Notable IT Executive Moves: April 2018

Chris Hook

Intel hired Hook, an AMD and ATI marketing veteran, as the head of marketing for the company's new discrete graphics computing unit.

The appointment comes as the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company is gearing up efforts to re-enter the discrete GPU space after hiring AMD graphics big shot Raja Koduri to lead Intel's new Core and Visual Computing Group last fall.

Hook left AMD as the company's senior director of global product marketing in early April. He had joined ATI, which AMD acquired for $5.4 billion in 2006, in 2001 as a senior PR manager and worked up the ranks of PR and marketing roles over the next 17 years.
